It has been 10 days. Ten days since I have held my son.
Carver had a hard time the first couple days but after we told him that Noah has friends in heaven, he seems to be doing better. I had a really hard time on Sunday since it had been a week. All day I kept thinking that a week ago I was in labor. I decided to go to church - by myself - and I almost didn't make it in. I did though and I'm really glad. Chris has been having a rough time the last couple days. It helps that when I'm low, Chris is strong and vice versa.
We met with the funeral home on Friday and I found an urn online that has Noah's ark on it. How perfect is that? y mom, her husband, my brothers and Jake's girlfriend spent the weekend with s and that helped. My milk came in on Friday and that's been difficult. I think I'm on the downhill of that though so that's good. At one point, Chris asked how I was doing and I said, "I need to nurse." :/
We got the call the from the funeral home that they were going to cremate Noah on Tuesday and we picked him up today.
I asked Chris to call the church to start the ball on the memorial service and he said that he wasn't sure on if he wanted to do a service. I thought that we had talked about this before Noah came but I guess that conversation was in my head and never made it out my lips. That seems to happen a lot. haha So we're back to square one on if we're having a memorial.

A little catch up
I forgot to mention all of Noah's stats from his birth so here they are:
Time of birth: 1:29am
Time of death: 2:29am
Weight: 3lb 14.2oz
Length: 17in
Head: 10 inches
We're still doing pretty good. Chris and Carver are still sick so that's made life interesting. We have greatly appreciated all of the people that have brought us food (yum!!) and have been continually praying for us. We would not be coping the way we are without all of you.
We have a meeting with the funeral home director tomorrow at 10:00am. We'd definitely love prayers for strength and peace during this time. Thanks!!

The day my life changed...
Hey everyone! I just thought I'd let you know how everything went down.
I woke up around 3am on Sunday leaking fluid. My Dr didn't seem too concerned and told me to go back to bed. At 8am I started getting braxton hicks that were mildly uncomfortable. They later turned into full on contractions that had me breathing through them. Finally at 10:00pm we decided to go to the hospital. We called Kim to watch Carver and the whole way to the hospital we were thinking we were going to be sent home. I got to the hospital at 10:30pm. Once we got to a room at the hospital, I was checked and was at 6cm! And my water sac was bulging. We got admitted and ordered the epidural since I knew I'd be in a lot more pain after my water broke. They couldn't tell what station I was at, so after I got the epidural they did an ultrasound and found out Noah was transverse. My Dr came in and we said a prayer (him in tongues). Then he moved Noah back into position and broke my water. Oh My Goodness! There was SOO much fluid. It GUSHED out of me and onto the bed, all over me, on the floor and under the bed. After they got me cleaned up, I was checked again and the Dr said "You're at an 8.... oh! Go ahead and push." After three contractions, Noah was out. The Dr had to manipulate my skin in order to get Noah's head out and that felt just great. He was born at 1:29am after only being in the hospital for 3hrs. The Dr was praying in tongues during the whole delivery and placed holy water on Chris's hands before he picked up Noah. We were able to have exactly an hour with him before he went to live with Jesus at 2:29am. Carver was able to be with him and give him kisses before Noah passed. Our photographer came and did pictures around 9:30am and she got Carver to hold and rock Noah. Carver was right by Noah's side the whole time.
We were so blessed with our doctor. He has prayed with us so much and was praying in tongues during the whole time I was pushing. He has been so open with his faith and it has been such an encouragement to us. We have felt an overwhelming peace about us and feel resolved about everything. Noah is where he is supposed to be now.
Thank you so much for your continued prayers! We have felt each and every one. We don't know how we'll feel tomorrow or the next day but we have felt God walking right beside us this whole time.

Well...
First let's do the 37 week stats and what happened at the doctor on Thursday. Then I'll explain the post title.
Doctor Appointment:
I was not dilated so we have an appointment for first thing on the 26th. If I'm dilated and everything looks good, we'll head over to the hospital. The doctor said to come prepared - ie. bring our hospital bag and have someone watch Carver.
37 Week Stats:
Recent events: **This could be TMI**
I woke up in the middle of the night to wet underwear. I've had a leaky bladder the last couple days so that's what I thought it was. I was also a little nausious. I had had a few carrots on Friday night so that's why I'm nausious. After have diarrhea, that issue was solved. Back to the underwear. I finished going to the bathroom and stand up and more comes out. So I sit back down and start getting a little concerned. This happens a couple times before I call my doctor. I fill him in on what's going on and he said that it's most likely a leaky bladder and to not worry and go back to sleep.
Well I woke up this morning and Chris didn't feel good. So I was going to go to church on my own but when I got out of bed with Carver, my hips felt like they were on fire. They're just stretching but I don't think I could make it to church and back so I crawl back into bed. The leaking is still going on. Then I start having braxton hicks. They're not long enough of frequent enough to go in but I still time them.
Around 11:30ish I notice a pink tinge to the leaking so I call my doctor again. He says to come in tomorrow morning at 10am and he'll check my cervix. Unless I go into labor before then, of course. I've kept monitoring the contractions (I've been on the couch all day) and they're right around a minute long and anywhere from two to 8 minutes apart. Not consistent enough to go to the hospital. In the last half an hour, they have gotten a little more intense but have shortened to about 30-40 seconds long and 3-5 minutes apart.
So that's where we're at right now (4:45pm). I'm hoping and praying that everything will go away until my appt in the morning. At that point, I don't care. I really want my brother, Cody, to be here (he flies in late Thursday night) and my best friend, Jena, to be here (she's in Spokane but could hop in the car).
Prayer requests:
That the contractions/braxton hicks will subside so I can sleep tonight
That Chris and Carver will feel better in case this is Noah time

Random Sayings
Here's some random says that have been said around our house lately... Enjoy!
Carver (when asked if I should have another baby in my belly after Noah): "TWO babies!!" --> My mom has also had dreams that I'll have twins a year from now. hmmm...
Carver: "Baby Noah owie all better!" Noah told him this.
Chris: "I love the way you move when you're pregnant." Talking about my little dance I have to do to get into our bed
Carver: ... "at two cock" aka: at 2 o'clock (when told daddy will be home later, going grocery shopping, etc. This started when Chris and Carver had to pick up Rocky from the vet after he got neutered at 2:00pm
Carver: "You love this?!" As he fans our faces... you have to say yes.
Probably my favorite:
Chris: "I think we should open a 7-Eleven so we could get free slurpies." I've introduced these wonderful things to him lately :)

Maternity Pictures
Here's the maternity pictures my friend, Mallorie, took for us. She's the one that took Carver's maternity pictures. It took a little thinking to come up with different pose ideas this time but Pinterest was a life saver! There's a couple others on Mallorie's photography page on Facebook, Life's Moments Photography. I'm not openly sharing these pictures on Facebook but feel free to share these with people.

Crisis Averted
Well I made it through the night without going into labor. I feel pretty good so I'm not too worried about anything anymore. Since I went into labor with Carver around 11pm I found myself laying in bed all night not able to sleep. Thank you so much for all the prayers. I'm now really, really hoping and praying that I get to March 26th. I called my doctor yesterday but he was in a delivery. I wasn't expecting him to call me back; I just wanted to let him know in case something did happen.
So continued prayers that I don't dilate and that I make it to March 26th would be AWESOME!!!

A Mini Freak Out
I lost part of my mucus plug this morning. I shouldn't worry because people lose it all the time and it doesn't mean anything. Except... the day I lost my plug (the whole thing) was the day I went into labor with Carver. I'm not ready to go into labor. Cody isn't here yet and my mom is still in Hawaii (until tomorrow). I need 3 weeks! So any and all prayers that this means nothing would be greatly appreciated.
