9wk old doctor appointment

Carver had his 2 month appt last friday (the 21st). He weighs 9lb 3oz - which is about how big Jake was when be was born! The doctor said that he's really healthy and strong. Carver got his first round of vaccines. He did really good and only cried a little! We go back in a month to check his weight. Until then, he'll keep eating, pooping, and growing.

In other news... Carver is responding more to people and showing off his adorable smile. I still have yet to capture it on camera. He coos every once in a while and it's mostly for me. By the time I call Chris over, Carver's stopped talking. :(

I'm in the process of putting the necklaces and bracelets that I've made onto a website (etsy.com) that is like Ebay but they aren't auctions and everything on the site must be handmade. The address for my shop is: christana08.etsy.com Check it out and let me know what you think. You can add comments at the end of all of my posts on here.

Well I better go. Carver's talking to me. :) Have a great day!

7 week old pictures

Here's some pictures from week 7. He's definitely starting to react to people around him and smile more.

Chris lays him in our bed every night while we get ready for bed and he just patiently lays there waiting for us to come read to him.

Announcements

I'm learning that the post office put their cancellation stamp over the return address label of all of the birth announcements. I'm assuming that this is because the envelopes are brown. This has caused people to call us/my mom for our address so I'd thought I'd post it here for everyone.

Our email address is: chris.tana08@hotmail.com

And our mailing address is: PO Box 524, Burley, WA 98322

Hope this clears some confusions. Hope everyone liked the announcements. :)

our weekend in Ellensburg

**I want to state that in the haste to get there, we forgot our camera. So the few pictures we got are from Jake's camera. Thanks brother!

So after the eventful time it took to actually get to mom's house, we didn't do much of anything once we were there. On friday, we had lunch at my grandma's house. My dad and Cody also came. This was the first time my dad had seen Carver so it was really nice to get together.

Oh, side note. We had to stop at the store on the way to lunch because we ran out of wipes with the blow out the day before. And as luck would have it, they only had travel packs of wipes that had Disney princesses!

After we left my grandma's, Chris dropped me off at mom's work so that her and I could go shopping for things to put in goodie bags for all the kids leaving that night for Malibu. (Cody was heading back up with them which was the reason for us being there.) Once we got home we put the bags together and hung out until everyone had to be at the bus. Mom was doing ll the paperwork so she had to be there early... like 10:15pm. The bus was scheduled to leave at 11pm so we said goodbye to Cody. He won't be home until Sept 20th. It was so cool to watch him with Carver. When Cody left he said something that meant a lot to me. He said, "You're a good mom." That's probably the highest compliment that anyone could give me and it meant a lot. Thanks Cody! I love you!

Saturday, Jena and Moktar came for the day. Jena's mom and Alea were in Yakima for an antique show so they came up too. It was so cute to watch Alea and Carver together. Alea has gotten so big! The last time we saw them was Alea's 2nd birthday party in November. She's gotten so tall! They stuck around most of the day, then they needed to head home since they had to work the next day.

Sunday, mom and Jake were planning on going to Wildhorse for family day to see Sarah and Tanner. So we stayed home from church to spend more time with Nana before we all had to leave. The drive home was uneventful (thank you!) except that we were both pretty tired.

I don't think our weekend could have been anymore busy. haha Here's a couple pictures of Alea and Carver.

It ONLY took us 4hrs to get to Ellensburg...

Chris was able to take last friday off so we decided to go to Ellensburg on thursday. First off, he surprised me by getting done around 10am so I was rushing to pack everyone. Chris said that he had to run by a client's house to fix some wiring. We left the house at 11:30am. While at the client's house, Carver had a blow out that not only got his clothes dirty but his carseat as well. For those who don't know, we have bucket seats in our car. Let me tell you, its VERY difficult to change a baby on a bucket seat. He was screaming (thankfully the client wasn't home) and squirming around and I'm trying to do damage control. Chris finishes with the wiring and tries to help by holding Carver in place. oh, to top it all off, there were massive mosquitos at this place - I mean the size of a nickel! So we got him cleaned up and i jumped into the backseat to get him in clean clothes and closed the door to keep the blood-suckers away.

After that fiasco, Chris was hungry so we went to Taco Time in the Harbor but everyone and their mother was there so we decided to start heading to Ellensburg and stop in Fife. By the time we got to Fife, Carver was hungry again so I sat in the car to nurse him. In all the hussle, Chris forgot his debit card in the car so it took forever to get our food.

After everyone's bellies were full, we tried again to make our way to Ellensburg. we got as far as the top of the pass where we got stuck in traffic. Apparently, they're doing construction between Exit 52 & 54. So we had this genius idea to get off at Summit West (exit 52) and get back on at Exit 54. So we're cruising along, pass a sign that says that you have to get on the freeway at mile 53... get all the way to mile 54 and the on-ramp is closed!!! So we have to go back to the on-ramp at Central (mile 53) and sit in traffic. With the time we lost, we could've just stayed on the freeway.

Once we were trough that, it was smooth sailings to Ellensburg. When we got to town we went to mom's work cause everyone wanted to see Carver.

So, needless to say, it was a very long day.

Post-Delivery Appointment... and update

I had my 6 week postpartum appointment on Monday. I was curious to see how much I weighed since I hadn't weighed myself since delivery. I weighed 102lbs! At my final prenatal appt I was 122lbs so I was pretty pumped. The dr said that my uterus was back in shape and gave me a prescription for birth control as well as schedule an appt for a pap smear in November. Yea!

I feel back to my pre-pregnant self but it was nice to hear it from the dr.

In other news, Carver is so strong that he has made nursing painful (he cracked my nipples) so I've been pumping bottles for him. It can get very frustrating since he's usually pretty fussy while I'm pumping. It also is a lot more time consuming.

Today was the first day that I went somewhere without Carver. I had a nail appt so Carver hung out with daddy. Chris only caled me twice - and that was to ask where the pacifier and bottle nipple were. Other than that, I'm assuming that everything went ok. :)

Well that's it for now. As soon as Carver goes to sleep I'll post some pictures from the last couple weeks.
