19 Month Old Stats

Carver turned 19mo old on Wednesday. The months seem to be going so much faster since he turned one. I know that it'll continue to speed up as Carver gets older and we add to the family. (Not yet though!) Here's some things going on in Carver's life right now.

• He's cutting his last eye tooth. It's been one of the hardest on him too. :( This means that he has all of his front teeth and his first set of molars.
• He just moved up to size 3 diapers
• He's in 12mo-18mo clothes. I just packed up his 9mo clothes last week
• He's become a little talker! We don't always know what he's saying but it's hilarious to listen to him.
• He loves the workbench he got for Christmas. But sometimes it ends up being used as a stove. Carver will get out all the pots and pans he can carry and will make us breakfast/lunch/dinner/snack/etc. He brings it up to you and expects you to eat it! :)
• He loves playing with his friends at church and MOMs group
• He loves being outside with Chris
• He feels that it's his personal job to bring wood from the back deck and set it by the fire. Sometimes we're amazed at how big a log he can carry!
• He's down to taking one nap a day, with a second thrown in some days as a gift to me :)

That's about it for now. I'm sure I'm forgetting something but you get the gist of what's been going on.

Channeling Clint Eastwood

We were given Chris's Grandpa's cowboy hat. This may not seem like a big deal to some but I grew up in a country town where a rodeos are a big thing. This is so cool to have something of Grandpa Garland's and it'll be great to pass it down to Carver when he's big enough.






PS This was the day that the Seahawks beat the Saints!!! We're still diehard finds, even if they're not in the playoffs anymore.

Love is...

Our power went out (for no reason, I might add) on Saturday evening. It wasn't quite dark yet so we decided to play a game with Chris's brother, since we were watching him for a few hours. As it was getting darker I looked over behind Josh, I saw this and had to snap a picture.

The frame holds 1 Corinthians 13: 4-7. It was read at our wedding and this calligraphy was done by a dear family friend that is a nationally renowned calligrapher. She is the one that did our wedding invitations, along with my parents wedding invites! It was such an honor that she volunteered to do this for us and I love her to death. Thanks Linda!!!!

Cody

I love my brother. It's as simple as that. And it kills me that he's currently living in Colorado without planning on moving back anytime soon. So when he was here for Christmas we had some great quality time. I had made a magnet with Cody's picture on it so Carver would know who he was so it only took, seriously, 10min for Carver to warm up to him.

Our new love

Well, it's been a love for awhile but I have nothing else to blog about, so this is what you get. :)

My friend, Staci, introduced me to Play-A-Latte a few months ago and we fell instantly in love. It has a play area that is perfect for kids Carver's age, and then a cafe where moms can sit, enjoy a coffee and watch their kiddos play.

We've gone a couple times and Carver LOVES it! It's a great way to get out of the house and Carver can run and play as much as he wants.
