4 month check up
Carver had his 4 month check up with the doctor yesterday. He weighs 11lb 5oz! and is 25in long. This puts him in the 3-5% for his weight and the 50% for length. These are the same percentiles that he's been in since birth. The doctor said that as long as he's consistently growing with the chart and doesn't drop off, there's nothing to worry about. Carver got his 4mo vaccines - 5 in all. There was an oral and two shots. Carver was such a trooper and only fussed for a couple seconds. He fussed a few times throughout the day when he remembered that his thighs hurt from the shots. So when he goes in for his 6mo shots I'll give him some Tylenol before we go.
That's all for now. Chris and Jake are hunting right now so I may post later if they come home with something.

Roll Over Rover...
Carver just rolled over from his back to his belly by himself!!! He's been able to do it when we hold his hand and he pulls on our finger but we were just sitting on the floor watching tv while I do some paperwork and he did it by himself! My baby's growing up!
That's all... now back to your regular programming.

Happy 4 month birthday Carver!!!
I can't believe that Carver is 4 months old already!!! Seems like yesterday that we brought him home from the hospital (yes, I know that sounds cliched). He is so much bigger than when he was born. Here's some of the changes...
- He's in 3mo clothes now -except for a few onsies that are still newborn size.
- He loves to talk and coo. He trying to say mama and dada but can't quite get his mouth to move in the right direction.
- He's a drool machine and will soak your shirt if you let him. He loves to put his hands in his mouth which only amplifies the drool.
- In general, you don't have to worry about him peeing while you change his diaper. He hasn't sprayed anyone in a few months.
- He still fights going to sleep and gets pretty cranky when he's tired. But he loves to be held while mama bounces on the balance ball. He likes that a lot better than rocking in the rocking chair.
- He only wakes up 1-2 times during the night to eat. The 2nd time being around 6-7am. His feeding times have gone from 1hr to about 30-40min. which gives mama more time to get things done around the house.
- He loves to sit up and look around.
- He loves his activity mat and bumbo. He's started grabbing for the toys.

Babies!!!
Yea!!! I can finally tell people.... Ayami and her husband, Jeff, are pregnant!!! We're so excited for them. They are due May 19th. This is 2 days after Kim's due date. Also, my friend Holly is pregnant too, due around the same time.
We're so excited for you girls! Praying for healthy pregnancies for all three of you.
My friend, Brittney, should be having her baby any day now. She's due on Halloween but has been having contractions and progressing. Come on baby Lennon!

Sorry!
I've been slacking on updating... sorry! Let's see, what's happened since I last posted...
Three weeks ago, we had to drive down to Montecano to 'rescue' Chris's parents. They were taking their RV down to Ilwaco to go fishing for the weekend when the transmission light came on in their truck. So, we drove our truck down there and swapped vehicles with them. The 12-week pictures of Carver in his car seat were from this day. In all, we were in the car for 6 hours and Carver was pretty fussy towards the end. Poor guy!
On Sept 12th, my Grandma Pat's dog, Scruffy, died. She had been really sick and we're now thinking that she was a lot older than we all originally thought. Grandma took it really hard - Scruff was like a kid to her and they went everywhere together. Last weekend Grandma got a new puppy. She's a cockapoo that she named Abigail, 'Abby'. She came right up to Grandma and snuggled right in to Grandma's neck. She's adorable!!!! It was a hard decision to get another dog right away but Grandma was lonely without anone to talk to... and Abby should help with the healing process.
On Sept 13th, Kim (Chris's sister) found out that she is pregnant!!!!!! I'm so excited for them! I'm really glad that Carver will have a cousin close in age to play with. Last I heard, they were hoping for a boy. :) We figured that she'll be due mid-May so the cousins will be about a year apart. Perfect! Congrats you guys!!!! You'll be awesome parents!!!
Last weekend, mom and Vanessa Hill came over for the day. I had to drop my car off at the dealer for an oil change and 40,000 mile check up (wow!) so they picked us up there. from the dealer we went to see my aunt in the hospital. Karen had really bad stomach pain (to the point where she couldn't walk) so she went to the hospital and they did a bunch of tests. Turns out she has a cyst on her ovary. Anyways, after we saw Karen, we went to get Grandma's puppy! By the time we left there, it was time to pick up my car so we did that then we all went to our house. Vanessa hadn't been to our house so that was fun.
Oh!! Congrats go out to Matt & Tricia Berry who had a baby girl (Cora Elizabeth) on Sept 8th and Staci & Scott Jorgenson who had a girl (Sadie Lynn) on Sept 14th.
We're spending the weekend in Ellensburg right now. We met up with my dad and grandma friday night so they could see Carver. They hadn't seen him for awhile so thaat was nice. We went to Yakima today to go to a couple craft stores and I got some fun new toys. Mainly, a pink Bind-it-All. It makes spiral notebooks, and lots of other crafts and I can't wait to put it to use. I'll definitely be trying to figure out ways I can use it for Christmas presents. :)
Well I think that's it for now... well that's all I can remember. I'm going to hit the sack and hopefully get a few good hours of sleep before Carver gets hungry again. Night all!!!
